Saturday 31 October (A Spooky Full Moon)

Happy Halloween one and all! After a successful pre-Halloween Covid type party with the flatmates, I made my way to Surrey. Armed only with spooky scary skeleton earrings, and Snoopy Halloween socks I left London for a family day, filled with pouring rain, pretty leaves, soup, and Six Nations Rugby.

This is the first Halloween I’ve had away from the land of giant blowup decorations and trick-or-treating, although I did see some very small children while on a bike ride.

So to all of you who are having a different Halloween than usual, I recommend focusing more on “Eat, Drink, and be Scary.” I for one shall be having some of our homemade spooky snacks: boiled egg pumpkins, and chocolate spider Oreo cookies. During a different type of year, I have learned that you can make your own fun holiday, even with limited experience options.
