I’ve reached 100 cups! Another week on into the first semester and I have started to join some clubs and societies. Without team sports for the first time in my life this year, I’ve been trying to find a new activity. I have decided to continue with lacrosse after a four year hiatus in college. My skills are rusty, my knee is injured, but I am raring to go, once we’re allowed to. The lacrosse ball has been helpful to practice a bit by myself, but also is a good physical therapy help.

If you don’t have the room to buy a foam roller, a lacrosse ball or tennis ball does the trick. Smaller than the foam roller, the lax ball can give you more localised pressure on your muscles. The thing I’ve been learning in the whole grad school experience, is to make do with what you already have. A lacrosse ball for a roller, and a full backpack for a weight. Keeping up with health is what[s important during lockdown.
