Monday 21 September

The first full day of real groceries, and it was bliss. I was surprised by the block of butter, rather than a stick, and how good the clementines were, but I got my necessities. As the groceries came, so did my kettle and toaster, so here was my first non instant oatmeal since arriving. As this was the second Monday of my quarantine, the no contact was beginning to get more wary. However, this was the first week of having more ‘home comforts’ added to my home for the next year. To add some movement to the monotony of the day, I added a yoga mat, with resistance bands.

As one who has had knee and hamstring issues for years, the non-exercise is worse on it sometimes than overwork. And so from the comfort of my home, although it is miniature, I can do physical therapy as well as core and stability workouts. With that, I had to add a mini fan, and a small speaker for some workout bops and temperature control.

At this point, the Tetley was strong and steady- exactly what I needed as the two weeks seemed to drag on.
