As an additional cup of the day- I finished the design for the blog. As I was thinking about a design for the header of this blog, I ended up passing an old drawing in my note pad of a tea cup. The steam coming from the top, I decided was going to be included in this design and it went from there. For all the other upcoming designs, the steam will be similar, but following the theme of the day.
As for the cup itself, UCL’s colours are white and purple, just like my undergraduate degree, and so I decided to make that the underlying theme. The laurel leaves going across the cup are for my upcoming degree (sue me I’m a classicist). The flowery pattern though, actually came from a tea accessory I’ve had since probably 16 years old- see the next post for more details.
So here’s to me not getting too stressed in this new degree path, and keeping up with my art throughout the year.
