As a Californian, the fall is an interesting time- not quite as hot, random chilly days, and some of the best smells ever. Due to the recent fires the harvest smells weren’t as pungent as normal, more smoky than anything, but moving here still made me miss the fall season. So today, before the business of preliminary meetings and classes started, I began watching a 90’s classic with my tea- Buffy the Vampire Slayer- just to throw in some early ‘California Halloween’ to my life. Since it was sunny in London for all of my quarantine, but this California lizard woman wasn’t allowed outside, I lived a little vicariously through Buffy and her adventures. Thank god for discovering Channel 4!
