Monday 23 November
Good morning, good morning. Sometimes you need to wake up early to catch the worm. I headed to campus today to get some work done in one of the many study rooms that UCL has to offer. As much as having a one stop shop for desk, bed, and kitchen is great, the bed is too tempting throughout the day. I needed a cuppa to get me going though, and with limited sunshine, it was much easier to get up with the sun during the winter. And I had a little more excursions later in the day, with the first Christmas lights on my commute back home.

CHRISTMAS! a very early evening at about 2pm (before the sun went down at 3:45) walk back from campus. This really shows the helpful and happiness-creating aspect of the lights. Everything brighter and more colourful during the deep darkness. You can find the lights in London in the weirdest places too, like a grocery store.

Now walking in a city after dark as a woman, especially in light of current events, an evening walk is much better for safety, and luckily the lights were already on, providing even more twinkle. So bring a cuppa to see the twinkles next time you’re in London during the holiday season- aka my favourite season.
